A carpet inspired by a design purchased in a portfolio at the Exposition Des Arts Decoratifs held in Paris in 1925. This is the exhibition that gave Art Deco its name.

The machine stitched carpets are produced on a computerised sewing machine.
The machine has a maximum stitching size of 6 x 7.75 ins and 28 stitches per ins. This means that some of the larger carpets cannot be machine stitched.
Because they are stitched in machine embroidery cotton the colours may not match the hand stitched carpets exactly.
Even on a sewing machine the larger carpets take up to 14 hours to stitch and involve constant monitoring and the cutting of thread floats between stitching each colour.
