All the edges of the fabric are treated with FRAY CHECK. This is a chemical which, as the name suggests, helps to prevent the fabric from fraying. This means that I have been able to leave the cut edge and avoid the bulk of hems. All the products using FRAY CHECK can be washed safely although there may be a few loose threads which can be trimmed carefully. The FRAY CHECK may leave a slight discolouration on the fabric which doesn't show in use.
